Crackle varnish to obtain a contrasting effect between two colours. It is a glossy transparent varnish which helps to achieve cracks of varying degrees using two water based colours.
Since centuries, crackle technique has been used to obtain an ancient effect on decorated surfaces. Today, using the various fashion colours, it is possible to refurbish your house in a new and trendy way.
1) apply a water-based acrylic paint white or colored in 1-2 coats with a short-bristle roller.
2) apply a uniform layer of Vernice Craquelé without thinning it with a short-bristle roller and wait until completely dry (at least 24 hours).
3) apply a single coat of an acrylic water-based paint using a colour contrasting the first coat.
If the right application process is followed, the crackle finishing will extend within a few minutes.
